Professional & Personal Development

"Through the centuries, a rich presence of culture has been the one common thread that has defined great societies. Art is a reflection of our past and a vision into our future. We proudly support EPCOR CENTRE?s Arts Learning Projects and applaud the organizers of the Professional Development Program, and the many wonderful participants who will define our society for future generations." - Birol Fisekci President & C.E.O. There are two different ways to program your professional and personal development schedule for the year: one is to get together with your colleagues and have a Half Day Professional Development Workshop at school. The other is to participate in our Evening Arts Studios here at the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts, where we will stimulate creativity and contribute to your growth.

Half Day Professional Development Workshops:

Arrange a half day of arts learning integration to inspire, enhance and support the use of the arts within the context of your teaching. All workshops are taught by artists and arts educators with extensive experience. Bookings are subject to instructor availability.

Our workshops:

  • Provide practical hands-on experience using a specific arts discipline.
  • Give a theoretical underpinning as to why the arts are used as a learning medium.
  • Are customized to meet the needs of your learning environment.
  • Employ established artists, including visual artists, musicians, storytellers, theatre artists and dancers to deliver these programs. All are experienced in working with schools.

To select your half day workshop choose from our Evening Arts Studios list then call us for a custom made half day PD. All Evening Arts Studios workshops are listed on artsbinder.com. Once you select the workshops you require, we will work on how to achieve your specific learning outcomes.

Additional workshops also include:

  • What is Arts Integrated Learning?

  • Teaching Cross-Cultural Understanding through the Arts.
Examine methodologies to teach students different cultural perspectives and philosophies through the arts.
  • Working Effectively with an Artist in the Classroom.
