Decidedly Jazz Danceworks (DJD) has been dedicated to preserving the rich history of jazz dance while taking it headstrong into the future since 1988. 

In School Performance - Live and in Sync! 

School year 2010/11

Live and In Sync! Our high-energy show will be touring to Calgary and area elementary schools January 24 - February 11, 2011. We are currently taking bookings and as dates are limited and fill up quickly, we encourage you to call today to secure your spot!  We are offering morning and afternoon performances, with each show lasting 50 minutes plus a question and answer period. Herman and his Jazz Crew will trace the history of jazz dance and teach your students that dancing is for everyone!

Our early bird deadline is October 31, 2010. Booking by our early bird deadline guarantees your show spot at a reduced rate of  $675 + gst (regular rate of $775 + gst after October 31, 2010). A pre-show teacher package is included in the fee.

STUDENT  DRESS REHEARSAL TICKETS

We would like to offer your students and their chaperones a unique opportunity to purchase reduced-price tickets ($12+GST) to our Dress Rehearsal Performances. Dates TBA. Tickets can be arranged by calling Jaime Emond at 403-228-8176.

STUDENT WORKSHOPS

DJD  provides workshop opportunites to students of all ages. A Day at DJD allows your students to experience the life of a DJD dancer. Bring your group of up to 30 students for a workshop in jazz dance and then sit in on a studio rehearsal with the DJD company as they prepare for an upcoming performance.

Availability is based on the schedule of the company and teaching staff.

Multiple workshops can be arranged to complete your DJD experience.

Fee: $12 and up + GST

In School Workhsops in Jazz, West African and Hip Hop can also be arranged through out the 2010/11 school year. Please contact Joanne Baker (jobaker@decidedlyjazz.com or 403-616-9640) to arrange your workshop experience.
